Andrew M. Brumby

Andrew M. Brumby is a partner and co-chair of the Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group of Shutts & Bowen LLP in Orlando, Fla., where he concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency and related creditor rights and commercial finance litigation issues. Mr. Brumby is a member of the Florida Bar and the State Bar of Georgia, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, all Florida state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, all Georgia state courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. The first president of the Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, he served on its board of directors from its inception through 1996. He is also former chairman of the Ninth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee of The Florida Bar, and is a member of The Florida Bar's Bankruptcy/UCC Committee and ABI. Mr. Brumby holds the highest AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, Florida Super Lawyers and Who's Who. He received both his B.A. in econom- ics with high distinction and his J.D. from the University of Virginia.
