Kristi R. Smith

Kristi R. Smith is the senior manager of Innovation Solutions at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP inSt. Louis and serves as a member of the firm’s Global Innovation Team. As a licensed attorney with an aptitude for incorporating innovation into legal processes, she specializes in utilizing expert systems, automation, intelligent workflows, collaboration tools, and other technologies to dramatically improve the efficiency and effectiveness of legal service delivery for the firm’s lawyers and clients. She also designs and architects solutions for the firm’s new division, BCLP Cubed, which provides clients with efficient, process-driven volume legal delivery of high-quality complex legal advice, best-in-class technology and experienced legal operations support. Ms. Smith regularly speaks and authors on topics such as in-novation in diversity and inclusion, artificial intelligence in the law, improving access to justice, and the future of lawyering. She is also active in the innovation community, both locally and worldwide, with a passion for creating new ways to connect those who have historically been precluded from access to justice with the right tools, resources and expertise committed to improving social equality. Ms. Smith is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the International Legal TechnologyAssociation. She received her B.A. in 2006 from Ouachita Baptist University and her J.D. in 2010 fromSaint Louis University.
