Stephen Robertson

Stephen Robertson is a founder (in 2003) and director of Metis Partners, Inc. in San Diego, a professional IP services firm delivering IP valuations, strategy and due diligence. He provides IP valuation and monetization advice to a range of businesses, including corporations, insolvency practitioners, banks, private equity and venture capital investors on a variety of transactions, including IP-backed corporate restructuring and lending across Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Mr. Robertson is the former chair of theLicensing Executives Society (LES) Scotland and an active member of the LES Council for Britain andIreland. He has contributed to European initiatives focused on national policy change, specifically IP-related finance, the Patient Capital Review and IP recognition among SMEs. He has been consistently recognized as one of the “World’s 300 Leading IP Strategists’ by IAM magazine. He is also a frequent speaker and author on a variety of IP valuation topics globally and the co-editor of Intellectual Property Strategy: A Guide to IP Management, an industry reference book on IP strategy and valuation. Mr. Robertson graduated with a degree in law before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte.
