Jeffrey R. Gleit

Jeffrey R. Gleit is a partner with ArentFox Schiff LLP in New York and has experience represent-ing debtors, hedge funds, private-equity funds, financial institutions, independent directors and trade creditors in restructuring distressed companies. He works with clients in a variety of industries, including financial, energy, health care, automotive, retail, telecommunications and manufacturing. Mr. Gleit regularly advises boards of directors in distressed situations and provides counsel to parties to credit default swap transactions. He was listed as a “Rising Star” in New York Super Lawyers from 2011-12, as an Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer in Turnarounds & Workouts in 2012, in New York SuperLawyers from 2013-20, as a Law360 “Rising Star” Law360 in 2014, and in The Legal 500 U.S. from2019-21. A member of the Turnaround Management Association and the Federal Bar Council, Mr. Gleit received his B.B.A. in 1997 from Hofstra University and his J.D. in 1999 with honors from HofstraUniversity School of Law.
