Scott M. Berman
Scott M. Berman is a partner with Friedman Kaplan Seiler & Adelman LLP in New York, where he has a varied practice in complex securities, fraud and commercial litigation with a special focus on securities litigation and professional liability. He represents and advises large institutional investors, funds of funds, investment advisors and wealthy individuals in high-profile matters involving hedge funds and their auditors, administrators, prime brokers and other professionals, and has procured significant settlements. He represents clients in state and federal courts, including at trial and arbitration. Mr. Berman has been listed in New York Super Lawyers every year since 2006 and received the David Y. Hinshaw Award in 2011. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York,<br>the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Third Circuits. Mr. Berman received his B.A. in 1979 from Emory University and his J.D. in 1982 from New York University School of Law.
