Nisha R. Patel

Nisha R. Patel is a partner at Dunlap Law PLC in Henrico, Va., where she represents debtors and creditors in bankruptcy in Virginia and Maryland and businesses in civil litigation. She is also a certified guardian ad litem for incapacitated adults in Virginia and regularly accepts appointments as guardian and conservator throughout the Richmond metro area. Ms. Patel was named one of ABI’s “40 Under40” insolvency professionals and has been recognized as one of Virginia’s “Legal Elite” in Bankruptcy/Creditor’s Rights. She is an alumna of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ Next Generation program and serves on the Richmond Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee, the executive board of theBankruptcy Section of the Richmond Bar Association, the advisory board for ABI’s Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop, and the board of the IWIRC Virginia Network. Ms. Patel received her undergraduate degrees with honors from Michigan State University in 2008 and her J.D. from the University of Richmond in 2011.
