Lucas P. Kortmann

Lucas P. Kortmann is partner at RESOR N.V., an Amsterdam-based law firm that specializes in high- end corporate restructuring, insolvency law and corporate litigation. His practice includes advising and litigating for banks, multinational companies, management and court-appointed administrators on all insolvency or restructuring related issues, in particular in cross-border situations. He is also acting as expert to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in discussions on insolvency law reform in Greece. Previously, Mr. Kortmann was with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek (Amsterdam) and Hengeler Mueller (Berlin). He is a Fellow of INSOL International, having completed the INSOL International Global Insolvency Practice Course with honors, and he is a member of INSOL Europe and Insolad. He is also the author of the country report on the Netherlands for the German MŸnchener Kom- mentar Insolvenzordnung (3rd ed.). Mr. Kortmann holds degrees in English law from the University of Southampton in 1998 and in Dutch law from the University of Groningen in 2003, and is fluent in Dutch, English, German and French.
