T. Daniel Reynolds is a partner with Jones Day in Cleveland and a corporate restructuring lawyer who represents major constituencies involved in distressed transactions, including companies both in and out of bankruptcy, as well as unsecured creditors’ committees and other major stakeholders.He has represented entities involved in all manner of restructuring transactions, including distressed sales and acquisitions, the structuring and consummation of spinoffs, and other out-of-court transactions. He also has substantial experience counseling clients in fraudulent-conveyance, illegal-dividend, fiduciary duty and piercing-the-corporate-veil issues. Most recently, Mr. Reynolds served as chapter 11 counsel to Shiloh Industries, Inc. and 18 of its subsidiaries, which successfully consummated a sale of substantially all of their assets pursuant to § 363 of the Bankruptcy Code. He also played a major role in Jones Day’s representation of FirstEnergy Corp. in certain of its unregulated power-generation subsidiaries’ chapter11 bankruptcy cases, which were the first bankruptcy cases in the country to involve distressed nuclear assets. Other notable representations include, among others, Peabody Energy Corp., FTD Cos., Westmoreland Resource Partners, VariForm Holdings Group and Relativity Media. Mr. Reynolds received hisB.A. in 2008 from Lafayette College and his J.D. in 2012 cum laude from the University of Notre Dame.
