David M. Zensky

David M. Zensky is a partner in the New York office of Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and has served as lead trial counsel in numerous high-stakes, complex commercial cases and multifaceted bankruptcy proceedings. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and complex bankruptcy matters, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) disputes, partnership/investor disputes, trade secret disputes and insurance matters. Mr. Zensky represents a variety of corporate, private-equity, hedge fund and financial restructuring clients. He frequently appears in bankruptcy court on behalf of financial restructuring clients, which often are creditors, including official creditors’ committees, ad hoc committees and individual creditors, such as hedge funds and institutional investors. Previously, he clerked for Hon. GaryS. Stein of the New Jersey Supreme Court from 1987-88. Mr. Zensky received his B.A. with honors in1984 from Binghamton University and his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1987.
