Lisa M. Norman is a shareholder with Andrews Myers, P.C. in Houston, where her practice is centered on all aspects of commercial litigation, with an emphasis on commercial bankruptcy, financial litigation, contract disputes and construction law. She has trial experience in the Texas state courts, federal courts and arbitration, and has successfully argued appeals before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Texas Supreme Court and multiple Texas Courts of Appeals. Ms. Norman’s commercial bankruptcy practice focuses on creditors’ rights and acquisitions within the bankruptcy context, and she has managed cases from inception through final disposition, including depositions, briefs/motions, mediation, arbitration and trial. She also represents financial institutions in all aspects of business litigation, both as a plaintiff and a defendant, and as a creditor in bankruptcy proceedings, ensuring that property and financial interests are adequately protected, lien priority positions are retained, and the recovery of the maximum allowed by law is handled efficiently. Ms. Norman is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and she has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by Houstonia magazine and as a “Texas Rising Star” in Texas Monthly. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas’s Litigation, Construction and Bankruptcy Sections, the Houston Bar Association’s Commercial/Consumer Law, Construction Law and Bankruptcy Sections, and she is a Master of the Bench of the Moller/Foltz Inns of Court. She is also a member of the National Association of Credit Managers, the Associated General Contractors of America and the American Subcontractors Association. Ms. Norman received her B.A. in 1999 from the University of Texas at Austin and her J.D. in 2002 from the University of Houston College of Law.
