Michael D. Messersmith

Michael D. Messersmith is a partner in the Chicago office of Kaye Scholer LLP, where he represents lenders, bondholders, agents, indenture trustees, hedge funds and other financial institutions, as well as borrowers in distressed situations, workouts and bankruptcy proceedings throughout the U.S. He also focuses on ad hoc groups of lenders and bondholders in restructuring situations. Mr. Messersmith has been continuously recognized as a leading attorney in Bankruptcy & Restructuring by Chambers USA. He received his B.A. magna cum laude from Ohio Wesleyan University and his J.D. with honors from DePaul University College of Law.
