David H. Hixson

David H. Hixson is counsel in the Office of Regulations at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in Washington, D.C. He has been involved in rulemakings related to the TILA and RESPA Servicing Rules and the FDCPA, and has also served in the CFPB's Office of Supervision Policy, where he aided the development of the supervision strategy for mortgage servicers. Prior to joining the Bureau, Mr. Hixson was an associate in the Chicago office of Jenner & Block LLP, where he was a member of its Bankruptcy & Corporate Reorganization Practice. He also clerked for Hon. Eugene R. Wedoff of the  U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Hixson is a graduate of Carleton College and the University of Minnesota Law School.
