Nicholas M. Miller
Nicholas M. Miller is a partner with McDonald Hopkins LLC in their Chicago and Cleveland offices and focuses on troubled<br>businesses, their secured and unsecured creditors (including banks and other lenders, bondholders, in-<br>denture trustees and official committees of unsecured creditors), and distressed investors and asset-purchasers. Most of his engagements involve actual or contemplated chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Miller represents both large and small companies, but his focus is on the middle market. His work has spanned a broad range of industries, including consumer products, gaming, hospitality, health care, financial services, real estate, retail, manufacturing, media and multiple technologies. He is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification and received the Turn-<br>around Management Association’s national 2010 Mid-Size Transaction of the Year Award, as well as the national and regional 2013 Small Company Turnaround of Year Award. In addition, he received the 2019 Global M&A Network’s Turnaround Atlas Award for Top Consumer Products Restructuring. He has been listed in Chambers USA since 2014. Mr. Miller is the immediate past president of the Chicago chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. He also serves on the board of directors of Partnership to Educate and Advance Kids (PEAK), which strives to help at-risk youth achieve academic and<br>personal success. Mr. Miller received his B.A. summa cum laude in 1995 from Cleveland State University and his J.D. cum laude in 1998 from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
