Sean C. Southard

Sean Southard is a partner with Klestadt Winters Jureller Southard & Stevens, LLP in New York, where his practice is focused on middle-market businesses with experience in the areas of financial restructuring, acquisitions, financing arrangements and commercial transactions, as well as complex commercial litigation. During his years of practice, he has counseled both debtors and creditors in many industries and varying sectors of the economy on a wide range of matters, from formation to liquidation. Mr.Southard is also a registered mediator with the panels established by the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and has experience settling and mediating commercial disputes and claims. He routinely appears in prominent local and national bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings, and he frequently speaks publicly on timely commercial law and restructuring top-ics. Mr. Southard is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and he routinely speaks publicly on timely commercial law and restructuring topics and is quoted in the popular press. He received his undergraduate degree from St. John’s University and his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law; while in law school, he served as editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute Law Review and was a legal intern with Hon. Cornelius Blackshear of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
