Nader Tavakoli

Nader Tavakoli is chairman and CEO of EagleRock Capital Management in New York and is an investor, corporate executive, advisor and court-appointed trustee with substantial experience in a broad spectrum of industries. He has served as a CEO and board chairman of public and private companies, of- ten at enterprises undergoing or in need of corporate transformation, including through operational and financial restructuring or M&A activity. He has also been appointed by courts and stakeholders to lead the resolution of highly contested and complex matters, including as a reorganization plan administrator and litigation trustee. Mr. Tavakoli is an expert on corporate governance and ethics, leveraged finance and corporate restructuring, litigation assessment, management and settlement, and the resolution of complex multi-stakeholder disputes. He currently serves as CEO and plan administrator of Cobalt Energy Industries, plan administrator and litigation trustee of MF Global Inc., and chairman of Magnachip Semiconductor Corp. From 2012-16, Mr. Tavakoli served in various leadership roles, including chair- man, president and CEO of Ambac Financial Group and Ambac Assurance Corp., one of the country’s largest financial guaranty insurance companies, and lead the successful emergence of those companies from bankruptcy and state rehabilitation proceedings. In addition, he is a governance leadership fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Mr. Tavakoli received his J.D. in 1983 from Rutgers Law School.
