David R. Payne, CIRA

David R. Payne, CIRA, CTP, ASA, CDBV, ABV, CPA is managing director of D. R. Payne & Associates, Inc. and Business Valuators & Appraisers, LLC in Oklahoma City. The firms provide restructuring and insolvency advisory services, fiduciary services, forensic and recovery services, economic and dam-age measurement services, and transactional advisory services. Mr. Payne currently serves as president of the Association of Restructuring and Insolvency Advisors, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a member of ABI, TMA, American Society of Appraisers, AICPA and ACFE. Previously, he was a partner at KPMG in its Restructuring Advisory practice area and was employed in the energy industry as chief accounting officer for Amarex, Inc., a publicly traded E&P company. Mr. Payne has provided services to energy-related entities and matters involving Ascent Resources, ChesapeakeEnergy, The Williams Companies, Texas International, Merrico Resources, Bainbridge Uinta, Whitestar Petroleum, Continental Resources, Echo Energy, Nichols Brothers, T.D. Williams, Atinum Midcon/San-dridge, Osage Exploration and Canaan Resources. He recevied his B.S. in accounting from OklahomaChristian University in 1980.
