Edward Stenger, CIRA
Edward Stenger, CIRA, CPA is a managing director in AlixPartners LLP's Turnaround and Restructur- ing group in New York, where he focuses on developing solutions in complex corporate restructurings and reorganizations for troubled companies. He has served as advisor to senior management and boards of directors, guiding them through workout negotiations and developing comprehensive turnaround strategies, including organizational change, capacity rationalization and divestitures. He also provides interim management to companies requiring experience in defining and implementing turnaround pro- grams. Mr. Stenger has been involved in the assessment of claims in a number of situations related to product liabililty claims, including the General Motors bankruptcy and other matters. He has assessed warranty obligations in the Energy Conversion Devices, Inc. for a flexible solar panel manufacturer and assited in developing claims-resolution procedures in that matter. Mr. Stenger has presented professional papers and published articles about restructuring and the financial and accounting aspects of successful reorganizations. He is also a co-author of the Financial Handbook for Bankruptcy Professionals, now in its second edition (West Publishing Co. 1996). Mr. Stenger received his B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.
