John C. Tishler

John C. Tishler is a partner in the Nashville, Tenn., office of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, LLP, where his legal practice focuses on the representation of hospitals, health systems and health care companies — along with their financial advisors and lenders — in complex strategic transactions involving organizations facing financial difficulty. Leveraging more than three decades of experience as an insolvency and restructuring attorney, he develops and delivers creative solutions and strategic planning advice that address both immediate challenges and long-term objectives. His experience includes corporate insolvency/board advice, creditors’ rights, financial services, defaulted bonds and commercial litigation. Mr. Tishler is a member of ABI and is a past president of the Tennessee Chapter of the Turn-around Management Association. He served Waller as its chairman from 2008-14. Mr. Tishler received his B.A. cum laude from Vanderbilt University and his J.D. with honors from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Tennessee Law Review.
