P. Glen Smith

P. Glen Smith is the owner of Smith Elder & Business Law, LLC, with offices in Kansas City, Mo., with other Missouri offices in Liberty and Richmond. After focusing his practice on asset protection, workouts and bankruptcy (chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13) for some 30 years, he transitioned to elder law in 2015. Mr. Smith is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and its Missouri chap- ter, as well as Northland Professionals in Aging, and serves with the Missouri Bar Association on the Estate Planning and Probate Administration Law Committee and the Elder Law Committee. Previously, he clerked for Hon. Russell G. Clark, U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri from 1983-85 and Hon. Robert A. Hoffman, Chancery Court of Tennessee, Tenth Chancery Division, from 1981-82. He concentrates his practice on Medicaid planning and asset protection, comprehensive estate planning, special needs planning and trusts, guardianship/conservatorship and VA benefits. Mr. Smith received his  J.D. in 1983 from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis.
