Robert S. Kost

Robert S. Kost is a managing director at Goldin Associates, LLC in New York and is head of the bank- ing transactional practice conducted through Goldin Capital Advisors, the firm's broker-dealer. He has more than 25 years of experience representing clients in a broad range of corporate finance activities, including chapter 11 and out-of-court restructurings, distressed mergers and acquisitions, exchange of- fers, rights offerings and debt refinancings. Prior to joining Goldin, Mr. Kost was a partner at Millstein         & Co. where he assisted with the build-out of the firm's New York office. Prior to that, he was a manag- ing director and co-head of the Restructuring and Reorganization Group at Gleacher & Co. (formerly Gleacher Partners). Mr. Kost was a founding member of the Restructuring Group at Lazard, having joined Lazard with a team that had previously worked together at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown. He was a managing director and partner at Lazard and worked on numerous large and complex restructuring cases. His selected engagements include advising creditors in Puerto Rico, Patriot Coal, Tronox, YRC Worldwide, Hexion and Swift Transportation, and the debtors in WorldCom, Owens Corning, Budget- Rent-A-Car, Collins & Aikman, Iridium, Eurotunnel, Appleton Papers and Xinhua Finance. Mr. Kost received his B.A. in economics, from the University of Michigan and his M.B.A. in finance from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
