Ethan Dunn

Ethan D. Dunn is the managing partner of Maxwell Dunn Law, PLC in Southfield, Mich., a business advisory and bankruptcy law firm. He works with broken companies and advises individuals and families through financial challenges. Mr. Dunn has turned around several small businesses and helped hundreds of individuals fix their personal financial challenges both in and out of bankruptcy. Mr. Dunn has facilitated the purchase, sale and merger of many small businesses and advises entrepreneurs on implementing sound financial principles in their companies. He co-chairs the Bankruptcy Practice Group of the Federal Bar Association and is an advisor to the U.S. Small Business Administration EmergingLeaders program. He also served on the committee commissioned to edit and update the local bankruptcy rules in the Eastern District of Michigan. Mr. Dunn is a member of the Turnaround ManagementAssociation, Wolverine Bar Association and ABI, and he sits on several nonprofit boards, including theAccess to Bankruptcy Court organization started by the Hon. Marci McIvor. He has been recognized asa Super Lawyer “Rising Star” for 2014, 2015 and 2016, and received a “40 Under 40” award from theMichigan Chronicle. Mr. Dunn received his undergraduate degree in investment finance from WayneState University and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
