Hillary Crabtree

Hillary B. Crabtree is a member of Moore & Van Allen’s Financial Restructuring department in Charlotte, N.C., and is experienced in bankruptcy, corporate law and finance. She counsels high-profile clients in a variety of industries, including energy, airlines, auto, manufacturing, restaurants, biopharmaceutical and retail sales. Ms. Crabtree works across the firm’s multidisciplinary platform to assist clients with reorganizations, finance transactions, contractual matters and general corporate law. She represents lenders, landlords, manufacturers, suppliers, vendors and debtors in reorganization proceedings, and is adept in handling commercial real property foreclosures and receiverships for secured lenders. Ms. Crabtree regularly represents financial institutions in secured lending transactions and structured finance/securitization transactions. She has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law from 2013-23, and she was listed as a North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2009. Ms. Crabtree is a member of ABI and the North Carolina Bar Association, International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation’s Carolinas Chapter and the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees. She received her B.A. in 1992 from Davidson College and her J.D. in 1999 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
