Sherry F. Chancellor

Sherry F. Chancellor is a chapter 7 panel trustee for the Northern District of Florida in Pensacola and has served since 1997. She has represented debtors in chapters 7, 11 and 13, as well as creditors on a limited basis. Ms. Chancellor has been called upon to assist in unique situations, such as acting as an ex- aminer in a chapter 7 case and being appointed as a chapter 11 trustee. She is also a frequent speaker and authored the Bankruptcy FastTrain book for the Florida Bar Association as well as the chapter on "Ex- emptions and Immune Property" in Creditors' and Debtors' Practice in Florida, published on behalf of the Florida Bar Association. In addition to being admitted to practice in the State Courts of Florida, Ms. Chancellor is admitted to practice in the state courts in Florida and before the Northern District Court of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She received her undergraduate degree magna cum laude from Troy State University in 1981 and her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in 1984.
