Brian Audette
Brian A. Audette is a partner in the Chicago office of Perkins Coie LLP, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of bankruptcy, creditors’ rights and general commercial litigation. He rep-resents lenders, creditors, trustees, assignees for the benefit of creditors, and debtors in chapter 7liquidation proceedings, chapter 11 reorganization proceedings, state court foreclosure actions, and out-of-court restructurings and liquidations. He has particular experience in the hospitality industry, having represented secured lenders, major hotel brands, creditors and debtors in all aspects of chapter 11 restructurings, out-of-court transactions, general litigation and litigation under the Lanham Act. Mr. Audette is a member of ABI and the International Council of Shopping Centers.He has led numerous roundtable discussions at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ U.S.Shopping Center Law Conference, addressing issues affecting landlords when their tenants file for bankruptcy. Mr. Audette has been named an “Illinois Rising Star” in 2012 and a “Super Lawyer”from 2014-20 by Illinois Law & Politics. Previously, he was an associate with DLA Piper and a member of the Private Panel of Chapter 7 Trustees from 2010-17. Mr. Audette received his B.A. in psychology and organizational behavior management in 1997 from Brown University and his J.D.cum laude in 2002 from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he was assistant features editor and news editor for the Public Interest Law Reporter.
