H. Kent Aguillard

H. Kent Aguillard resides in rural Evangeline Parish, Louisiana. His practice spans bankruptcy courts in Texas, Louisiana, and other states, including Delaware, depending on circumstances.  Although his office is located in a small south Louisiana town his practice involves bankruptcy related litigation, representation of debtors, creditors, and committees in chapter 11 cases and matters in litigation throughout Texas, Louisiana, and other venues as circumstances dictate. Kent also represents trustees mainly in bankruptcy related litigation. Kent prefers the outdoors to the indoors and considers himself greatly blessed and highly favored. He shares a robust practice with his eldest son, Caleb. Kent does not list accomplishments or accolades nor does he frequent social media sites, although he has a Facebook page. He married his wife Denise while they were in college and they have remained successfully and joyfully married for over 50 years. He is a member of Gideons International and has traveled abroad relative to his involvement in that organization. He is often a speaker and lecturer on the topic of professionalism and various aspects of bankruptcy. His firm’s motto is “There is no right way to do the wrong thing.” and his mission statement is a quotation by John Wesley, “ Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, As long as ever you can.” He uses Deuteronomy 6:5 as the “GPS” for his life.
