Michael O'Hara

Michael O’Hara is a partner in the Restructuring and Special Situations Group at PJT Partners Inc.in New York. Previously, he was a managing director in Blackstone’s Restructuring & ReorganizationGroup, where he worked from 2006-15 and assisted in advising on a variety of restructuring and special-situation assignments for companies, creditors, corporate board committees, and acquirers and sellers of distressed assets. Additionally, Mr. O’Hara has worked on several sovereign situations. He has served as a guest lecturer at University of Chicago Booth School, Columbia Business School and University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, among others, and has participated in several restructuring industry conferences. Before joining Blackstone, Mr. O’Hara worked in the M&A groups at Wasserstein Perella & Co. and Stephens Inc. He received his B.S. in finance from Georgetown University and his M.B.A.from Columbia Business School.
