Sandeep Qusba

Sandeep Qusba is the head of the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York. Across a wide range of sectors — including real estate, health care, energy, automotive, manufacturing and telecommunications — he has represented agent banks, steering com- mittees, creditors and private-equity sponsors and portfolio companies in some of the largest chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings in recent years, including the Kodak, Patriot Coal, ResCap, SuperMedia and Dex, and LightSquared bankruptcy cases. After law school, Mr. Qusba served as a law clerk for Chief Judge Stephen Gerling of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Northern District of New York. He has been named by Chambers USA as one of the leading lawyers for bankruptcy/restructur- ing. Mr. Qusba received his B.A. from Tufts University in 1991 and his J.D. cum laude from Syracuse University in 1994.
