Mitchell C. Fane, CFA is a principal at Ernst & Young in New York, where he serves as TAS South- west Region Energy Leader, principal in Valuation & Business Modeling, Power & Utility Valuation         leader, and Houston Market leader. He is responsible for the financial analysis and fair market valua- tion of debt, equity securities and intangible assets (both technical and nontechnical assets) for closely held and publicly traded companies. Mr. Fane has experience conducting and supervising assignments for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, fairness opinions, strategic alternative evaluation purposes, collateral purposes, stockholder disputes, purchase price allocations and impairment testing (ASC 805 and 350 – formerly SFAS 141 and 142), and tax planning. His recent Oil & Gas engagements include E&P, mid-stream (MLPs, gas gathering, terminaling/bunkering, LNG and liquefaction), downstream (chemical plants), wholesale and retail trading companies, and oilfield services (technology companies, energy construction companies and rig operators). Mr. Fane received both his B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of North Florida and is a member of the CFA Institute.
