Ross M. Kwasteniet

Ross M. Kwasteniet is a partner in the Restructuring Group of Kirkland & Ellis LLP in Chicago, where his practice is centered around the representation of distressed companies in all aspects of chapter 11 reorganizations and out-of-court restructurings. He also has experience representing both buyers and sellers of distressed assets. Most recently, Turnarounds & Workouts recognized Mr. Kwasteniet as a 2021 “Outstanding Restructuring Lawyer.” He also was recognized in the 2021 edition of IFLR1000, and in 2019, he was recognized as a Dealmaker of the Year by The American Lawyer. Mr. Kwasteniet was listed in the 2018-22 editions of Chambers USA and was selected by Law360 as one of seven Bankruptcy “Rising Stars for 2016” in its list of top attorneys under 40. He received his B.A. in world history in 1999 from Calvin University and his J.D. cum laude in 2001 from the University of Michigan Law School.
