Thomas W. Cranmer

Thomas W. Cranmer is a senior principal and co-leader of the Litigation and Alternative Dispute Reso- lution Section of Miller, Canfield, Paddock and Stone, P.L.C. in Troy, Mich., where he focuses on both criminal and civil litigation. He is a former assistant prosecuting attorney in Oakland County and a for- mer assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan. He is also a past president of the State Bar of Michigan as well as of the Oakland County Bar Foundation and the Eastern District of Michigan Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. Mr. Cranmer is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Barristers and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He was recognized by Michigan Lawyers Weekly as its "Lawyer of the Year" in 2014 and received the Excellence in Defense Award from the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel in 2015. Mr. Cranmer received his B.A. in 1972 from the University of Michigan and his J.D. in 1975 from Ohio Northern University.
