Yves Brulard
Yves Brulard is a partner with DBB Law in Brussels, Belgium, and founder of the European's Lawyers Network LAWROPE. He provides advice and legal solutions for complicated company crisis situations in recovering and defending the creditor's credits and improving payment guaran- tees, and for debtors in different fields, such as corporate, financial and tax. He also assists local and international clients in commercial and corporate law matters, on public takeovers and representing in cross-border and multijurisdictional mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate advisory matters, and on national and international insurance transactions, and helps insurance companies with regulatory matters concerning the insurance and insurance mediation business, as well as complementary social security systems. In addition, he has been involved with proceed- ings related to fundamental freedoms (free movement of goods, services, people and capital), and advises on antitrust, merger control, state aid and general EU law issues, including infringement procedures and judicial appeals before European and national competition authorities and courts. An arbitrator in international cases, Mr. Brulard is a member of the European Society for Banking and Financial Law and the European Lawyer's Union – UAE. He is fluent in French, English and Dutch/Flemish, and has been a professor at the ƒcole SupŽrieure d'Informatique, Valenciennes, France; the Haute Ecole Paul-Henri SPAAK, Bruxelles, Belgique; and the UniversitŽ Catholique de Louvain – Mons, Belgique. Mr. Brulard received his License in Law in 1982 from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve, UCL, where he also completed studies in economics in 1985 and post-graduate work in insurance and liability law in 1988. He also completed post-graduate work in European law in 1998 from the University of Li�ge ULG, Belgium and received his Master's in tax law in 2003 from the University of Brussels ULB, Belgium.
