William R. Moorman, Jr.
William R. Moorman, Jr. is a partner with the law firm of Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP in Boston and has concentrated his practice in the areas of general business law and insolvency, including reor- ganizations, acquisitions and workouts, for 30 years. He represents a wide range of clients in complex mergers and acquisitions, chapter 11 reorganizations and related litigation, distressed asset acquisitions and other transactions. He also represents lenders and borrowers in the negotiation and documentation of loan workouts and restructurings. Mr. Moorman's local and national business clients have included financial institutions, landlords, purchasers of distressed real estate and other assets, venture capitalists, real estate developers, hotels, franchisors, environmental services businesses, information technology companies, retailers, manufacturers, restaurants and health care businesses. He has also represented numerous senior executives of public companies involved in bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Moorman is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and he is recognized by Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business in the areas of Bankruptcy and Restructuring, and by The Best Lawyers in America in Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law. He has also been named annually as a Mas- sachusetts "Super Lawyer" by the publishers of Law & Politics and Boston Magazine. Mr. Moorman has published articles and has lectured at seminars on bankruptcy and other commercial law topics, includ- ing at prior ABI Northeast Conferences and the Bench Meets Bar program sponsored by the Boston Bar Association Bankruptcy Law Section. He received his B.A. in 1982 from Colby College and his J.D. cum laude in 1986 from Boston University School of Law, where he was a member and editor of the Boston University Law Review.
