William Epstein
William Epstein, CDBV is a managing director in the Los Angeles office of Berkeley Research Group, LLC (BRG) Capstone and has more than 25 years of experience specializing in transaction-related opin- ions and other valuation services. He has provided financial advice and independent opinions to Fortune 500 and middle-market clients, and has provided fairness and solvency opinions in connection with many types of transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, exchange offers, spinoffs, distressed financings, leveraged buy-outs and a variety of related party transactions. He has also testified in several different venues as a designated expert and in support of transaction opinions. Prior to joining BRG Capstone, Mr. Epstein was a national director at American Appraisal Associates, where he was responsible for the firm's global Opinion Services Practice, and was a managing director with Navigant Capital Advisors, where he was in charge of Navigant's fairness opinion services. Prior to joining Navi- gant, he spent more than 16 years with Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin as Southwest director for fair- ness and solvency opinions and was a member of Houlihan's National Transactions Review Committee. Mr. Epstein is an active member of the American Bar Association's Committee on Mergers & Acquisi- tions and the Committee on Private Equity & Venture Capital. He received his B.S. from the University of Southern California and his M.B.A. from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
