Theodore J. Hartl is a partner with Ballard Spahr LLP in Denver, where he represents bankruptcy trustees, debtors and creditors in bankruptcy litigation, asset liquidation and insolvency matters. He represents secured lenders and interested parties in prosecuting and defending their interests under the Bankruptcy Code. He also represents receivers, financial institutions, and corporate and individual clients in nonbankruptcy workouts, administrative enforcement actions, and in commercial disputes in state and federal courts. Before private practice, Mr. Hartl clerked for Hon. Donald E. Cordova, Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Colorado, as well as Hon. Joette Katz, Associate<br>Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. He was listed as a Colorado Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2010 and 2012. Mr. Hartl received his B.S. and B.A. in 1994 from Washington University and his J.D. magna cum laude from Vermont Law School in 2000.
