Tara E. Nauful

Tara E. Nauful is special counsel with Best Law, P.A. in Charleston, S.C. and is a certified specialist in Bankruptcy–Debtor/Creditor Law by the South Carolina Supreme Court. She represents clients in outof-court restructurings and workouts, and in insolvency-related matters in state and federal courts. Ms. Nauful has been included in the U.S. News “Best Lawyers” ranking for Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law since 2011, and in 2022 she was recognized as Lawyer of the Year, Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights/Insolvency and Reorganization Law, in Columbia. She is an active member of the Carolina’s Chapter of IWIRC and serves as an Associate Editor for the ABI Journal. Ms. Nauful is a frequent author and speaker on bankruptcy, ethics, and other issues impacting insolvency professionals, and she is admitted to practice in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. She received her B.A. in 1989 from the University of Virginia and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1992.
