Susan L. Rhiel, Esq.

Susan L. Rhiel is the sole shareholder in Rhiel & Associates Co., LPA in Columbus, Ohio, where she focuses her practice on all aspects of bankruptcy representation. A panel trustee in the Southern District of Ohio, Eastern Division, her practice involves both debtor and creditor representation in chapter 7 and 11 matters, as well as representation of bankruptcy trustees. Ms. Rhiel is a member of ABI, the Inter- national Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees, the Ohio State Bar Association (for which she previously chaired its Banking, Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Committee) and the Columbus Bar Association. She is a frequent speaker on bank- ruptcy-related topics on local and national levels, and has appeared regularly as a bankruptcy panelist on Channel 4, WCMH, in Columbus for the OSBA's "Legal Eagle" segment. Ms. Rhiel chaired IWIRC from 1997-2000 and is the founder of its Central Ohio Network, for which she formerly served as one of its chairs. She was in the Fellows Class of 2011 for the Ohio State Bar Foundation and currently serves on its Development Committee. Ms. Rhiel received a Bachelor of Music degree magna cum laude from Marywood College and her J.D. from the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University.
