Steven Wilamowsky

Steven Wilamowsky is an attorney with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in New York, where he focuses on bankruptcy and has represented debtors, individual creditors, DIP lenders, creditors' committees, landlords, plan sponsors, foreign debtors and purchasers of assets of distressed companies. He also has extensive bankruptcy appellate experience, having obtained on behalf of his debtor clients the reversal of adverse lower court rulings at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals in the National Energy & Gas Transmission Inc. (f/k/a PG&E National Energy Group) chapter 11 cases, which involved claims in excess of $150 million. In addition, he has experience in the restructuring of failed or distressed devel- opment projects, having frequently represented bondholders in cases involving the restructuring of off- shore energy development projects through chapter 11 proceedings. Mr. Wilamowsky clerked for Hon.         Tina L. Brozman in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York from 1994-96. He is admitted to practice in New York, the U.S. Supreme Court, the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern District of Michigan, the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, and the District of Colorado. Mr. Wilamowsky received his B.A. from Brooklyn College in 1991 and his J.D. in 1994 from New York University School of Law.
