Scott B. Davis

Scott B. Davis is a partner in the Corporate Advisory and Restructuring Services practice of Grant Thornton LLP in Charlotte, N.C. He has more than 30 years of consulting experience assisting organizations in transition in the areas of strategic change, restructuring, operational and perfor- mance improvement, business planning, cash-flow forecasting, litigation and forensics. Mr. Davis's consulting experience includes turnaround, workout and restructuring, strategic positioning and alignment, mergers and acquisitions, performance improvement and working-capital-management improvement. His operational and consulting experience includes interim management, developing and implementing strategic business plans, establishing budgeting and forecasting tools, improving cash management and liquidity, financing negotiations, revenue enhancement, cost reduction, iden- tifying and disposing of non-core business segments, and negotiating acquisitions and dispositions. In addition, he has provided forensic and litigation assistance, and has served as an expert on a wide variety of matters. Mr. Davis's industry experience includes health care providers and payors, higher education, transportation, manufacturing, distribution, retail and electric and gas genera- tion, transmission and distribution. He has been published and spoken on a variety of topics for the American Bar Association, ABI, the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the North Carolina Bar Association. Mr. Davis is a CIRA and CPA. He received his B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar.
