Robert A. Hammeke

Robert A. Hammeke is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice of Dentons US LLPin Kansas City, Mo. He is licensed to practice in Missouri and Kansas, and his practice concentrates on loan enforcements, receiverships and workouts, including out-of-court workouts and restructurings, loan exit strategies, pre-judgment loan remedies, including attachments, injunctions and receiverships, non-judicial and judicial real estate foreclosures and UCC Article 9 foreclosures, capture of rents and other proceeds of collateral, and all other aspects of creditor’s rights litigation, including defending lender-liability claims, obtaining monetary and ancillary relief judgments against borrowers and full and carve-out recourse guarantors, and protecting clients’ rights and interests in bankruptcy. Mr. Hammeke has particular experience with state and federal court receiverships and sales of real estate and personal property collateral by receiver sale. His clients include national, regional and local lending and financial institutions, inventory finance lenders, special servicers, distressed-debt purchasers, and state and federal court receivers. Mr. Hammeke is a member of ABI, the Turnaround Management Association and the Kansas City Missouri Bankruptcy Bar Association. He was selected as a Missouri & Kansas SuperLawyer “Rising Star” in the area of Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights in 2012 and a Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyer in the area of Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights in 2013-20, and he was listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Litigation - Real Estate in 2020. Mr. Hammeke received his B.A. magna cum laude in 1996 from Fort Hays State University and his J.D. summa cum laude in1999 from Oklahoma City University School of Law, where he was articles editor of the Oklahoma CityUniversity Law Review.
