Richard D. Burstein

Richard D. Burstein is a partner at Brutzkus Gubner Seror Rozansky Weber LLP in Woodland Hills, Calif., and has practiced in the bankruptcy field since 1997. He has provided service to clients in an array of bankruptcy litigation matters, including trials in the bankruptcy court and the district court, and has handled appeals of bankruptcy matters before the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel of the Ninth Circuit, the District Court of the Central District of California and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. On behalf of a chapter 7 trustee, he unsuccessfully sought a writ of certiorari to the Ninth Circuit from the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Burstein has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1973 and is a member of the bars of the several district courts within California, of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and of the U.S. Supreme Court. He received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude from UCLA in 1970, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and his  J.D. in 1973 of the University of California Berkeley (Boalt Hall) School of Law, where he served on the moot court board.
