Paul M. Nussbaum, Esq.
Paul M. Nussbaum is the chair of Whiteford Taylor Preston LLP's Business Reorganizations and Bank- ruptcy Litigation group in Baltimore, which handles business reorganizations, chapter 11 bankrupt- cies, and related commercial and bankruptcy litigation. He represents debtors, trustees, plan trusts and administrators, and creditors' committees in numerous bankruptcy cases and related federal and state court litigation. Mr. Nussbaum focuses his practice on representing chapter 11 debtors, estate represen- tatives and trustees in connection with the investigation and pursuit of business fraud and professional liability claims, including director and officer liability and auditing/accounting claims. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, Benchmark Litigation, Chambers USA, Super Lawyers and Legal 500. Mr. Nussbaum is also a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a former ABI Board member, and serves on the Equal Justice Council of Maryland Legal Aid. Mr. Nussbaum continues to serve as an active speaker, lecturer and author for the National Business Institute, Global Distressed Debt Investor Forum, Maryland Institute for Continuing Education of Lawyers, Mid-Atlantic Institute on Bankruptcy & Reorganization Practice, Lorman Education Services, the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association and Corporate Board Member Magazine. He received his B.A. in 1980 from Fairleigh Dickinson University and his J.D. in 1984 from California Western School of Law.
