Nicholas Maietta

Nicholas Maietta, CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT is an associate with King & Spalding LLP’s Data, Privacy, and Security Practice in Washington, D.C. He focuses on privacy and security compliance and regularly advises clients on related regulatory and transactional matters, where he draws on previous experience working as a management consultant and from time spent in the technology sector and government. He also regularly helps clients prepare for, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents. Mr. Maietta served as a Marine officer and is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He also chairs the board of USA Weightlifting, the national governing body for the sport of weightlifting in the U.S. Mr. Maietta received his B.S. in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and his J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School.
