Natalie B. Sawyer is law clerk to Hon. Henry J. Boroff of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts in Springfield. From 2014-15, she served as judicial staff attorney to Hon. Frank J. Bailey of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts, and from 2005-13, she was a member of the bankruptcy and financial restructuring department of a boutique law firm in Boston, where she represented debtors and creditors, including creditors' committees, in bankruptcy proceedings and out- of-court workouts. She also served a two-year appointment, from 2003-05, as law clerk to Hon. Henry J. Boroff. Ms. Sawyer is a member of both the Massachusetts Bankruptcy Court Diversity Initiative Task Force and the Committee on Local Rules. She is active in several professional organizations, including ABI, the American and Boston Bar Associations and the International Women's Insolvency & Restruc- turing Confederation (IWIRC). Ms. Sawyer is a member of ABI's Northeast Advisory Board and served as chair of IWIRC's New England network from 2009-13. She is also a co-chair of the Boston Bar As- sociation Bankruptcy Section's Diversity & Inclusion Committee, previously co-chaired its Member- ship and New Lawyers Committees, and was a member of its History Working Group. Ms. Sawyer was recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyers "Rising Star" for 2009-13. She received her B.A., J.D. and LL.M. in banking and financial law from Boston University, and was editor-in-chief of its Review of Banking and Financial Law.
