Ms. Dawn M. Cica
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Dawn M. Cica</strong> is a founding member of Carlyon Cica Chtd. in Las Vegas and has more than 30 years of experience working on transactions of all types, including transactional aspects of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights. She represents creditors, committees, affiliated parties and debtors. Ms. Cica sits on ABI’s national Board of Directors and is a member of its Endowment Committee. She also serves on the advisory board for ABI’s Southwest Bankruptcy Conference, and she is also a Fellow and Regent in the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers. Ms. Cica has been involved in most of the influential Nevada bankruptcies in the resort and gaming industry, and she is a former general counsel for a casino resort. She is also licensed in California and New York and especially enjoys collaborating with out-of-state counsel on Nevada issues. Ms. Cica has received numerous industry and peer recognitions, including the National M&A Advisory Award for Real Estate Deal of the Year for the Chapter 15 Sale of the Veris Gold Mine. She is routinely selected by her peers as a Nevada Elite Lawyer and as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in the Mountain States by <em>Super Lawyers</em>. Ms. Cica is the former chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the Nevada Bar and has authored the chapter on bankruptcy in the <em>Real Estate Practice Manual</em>, to be published by the Real Estate Committee of the Nevada Bar. She received her B.S. in finance and B.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1984 and her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law in 1987, where she was a member of the <em>UCLA Law Review</em> and participated in a moot court.</p>
