<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Edward T. Gavin, CTP, NCPM</strong> is the managing partner of Gavin/Solmonese LLC in Wilmington, Del., and has more than 20 years of experience working with distressed companies and their stakeholders in diverse industries, including retail, transportation, regulated and nonregulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical and health care, professional services, construction and metal-forming. He has served in leadership roles in engineering, manufacturing, information technology and regulatory affairs functions. Mr. Gavin is experienced in strategic planning and process re-engineering, with hands-on management experience in nonprofit, for-profit and public sector operations. He testifies frequently as an expert witness on such matters as ordinary-course-of-business issues in preference litigation, as well as on fiduciary duties of management in distressed companies. In 2021, Mr. Gavin launched business/disrupted, a weekly talk radio show and podcast on the VoiceAmerica Business network. He also is a nationally recognized expert in mediation; he is a National Certified Professional Mediator and a member of Mediators Beyond Borders International (MBBI). Mr. Gavin is a past president of ABI and served as Chairman from 2020-21, and he co-chairs ABI’s Mid-Atlantic Bankruptcy Workshop. He also co-authored ABI’s <em>Chief Restructuring Officer’s Guide to Bankruptcy</em>. Mr. Gavin has received the prestigious Turnaround Atlas Leadership Achievement Award, which honors individuals who have contributed to successful turnarounds resulting in revitalized companies, an improved local economy and job creation. He attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, studying music theory and education, received his Master of Studies with a concentration in dispute resolution and his Master of Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law and Pepperdine University Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, respectively.</p>
