Michael Rapp
Michael Rapp is a co-founder of Stecklein & Rapp in Kansas City, Mo., and is licensed to practice inKansas and Missouri. His practice is focused solely on consumer-protection cases. Typically, he brings cases against credit reporting agencies, banks, credit card companies, and the occasional debt collector or shady car lot for doing things that they shouldn’t. These cases include both individual and class at the state and federal level. A bestselling author, Mr. Rapp is currently serving as vice chair of the ABA’sTIPS Cybersecurity and Data Privacy and the Business Litigation Committees, and as Kansas state chair for the National Association of Consumer Advocates. He also frequently presents on the Fair CreditReporting Act and topics surrounding consumer protection law. Mr. Rapp received his J.D. from UMKCSchool of Law, where he served as a research administrator for Friedman on Leases and was awarded the Sanford B. Ladd Award for exceptional achievement in real estate law. Prior to attending law school, he was decorated and honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force.
