Michael K. McCrory is a partner with Barnes & Thornburg LLP in its Indianapolis office and is the Indianapolis administrator of the firm's Finance, Insolvency and Restructuring Department. His practice includes business, commercial, bankruptcy and creditors' rights issues, including workouts and loan re- structurings, representation of secured and unsecured creditors and creditors' committees in bankruptcy         cases, commercial and bankruptcy mediation, real estate foreclosures, repossessions and general collec- tions, and Uniform Commercial Code issues. Mr. McCrory successfully completed the ABI/St. John's University School of Law Bankruptcy Mediation Training Course and is certified as a civil mediator in Indiana. He is a member of the firm's Financial Institutions Practice Group and serves as co-chair of the firm's Global Services Practice Group and its Automotive Industry Services Team. He regularly works with manufacturers and automotive suppliers to address a broad range of matters including contract negotiation and enforcement, collections and bankruptcy issues. Mr. McCrory is Board Certified by the American Board of Certification in Business Bankruptcy Law. He previously chaired the Corpora- tion, Banking and Business Law Section of the Indiana State Bar Association and the Commercial and Bankruptcy Law Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association. Mr. McCrory is recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyer list and in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognized him as a "Lawyer of the Year" in 2015. He received his B.S. in 1976 cum laude from Indiana State University and his J.D. in 1979 cum laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
