Michael J. Pankow

Michael J. Pankow is a shareholder in the Denver office of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP and has more than 30 years of corporate restructuring and chapter 11 experience. He provides structural advice regarding mergers and acquisitions and the issuing and review of nonconsolidation opinions in structured finance transactions. He also advises boards of directors considering business reorganization or distressed-asset acquisition on their duties and options to allow for informed decision-making. Mr. Pankow is a member of ABI, the Colorado Bar Association, the Nebraska State Bar Association and the Turnaround Management Association. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America from 2010-22, in Chambers USA for 2021, and as one of 5280 magazine’s Top Lawyers for Bankruptcy for 2015-20 and 2022. Mr. Pankow received his B.S.B.A. cum laude in 1987 from Creighton University and his J.D. magna cum laude in 1989 from Creighton University School of Law.
