Mary Alexandra Shipley

Alexandra Shipley is an associate with McGuireWoods in Chicago and focuses her practice in the areas of insolvency and restructuring. She represents a wide range of clients in all stages of bankruptcy, re-structuring and workout matters. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Ms. Shipley practiced with the Tulsa office of an Oklahoma law firm, where she gained experience in various areas of civil litigation and bankruptcy. She is a board member of the Chicago Chapter of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, and she is admitted to practice in Illinois, Oklahoma, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois and the Eastern and Northern Districts of Oklahoma. Ms. Shipley received her B.S. in ballet with high distinction in 2011from Indiana University and her J.D. in 2015 with highest honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was admitted to the Order of the Coif and was assistant managing editor of the Oklahoma Law Review.
