Joshua P. Searcy
Joshua P. Searcy is an attorney with Searcy & Searcy, P.C. in Longview, Texas, and his bankruptcy practice has included representing debtors and creditors in chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13, as well as chapter 7 and 11 trustees. He also represents and defends financial institutions, handles real estate matters and non-bankruptcy civil litigation, and provides general representation to a municipality, including as city prosecutor. Mr. Searcy currently serves as secretary on the Executive Council of the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Texas, is a past recipient of the Section’s Romina L. Mulloy Bossio Achievement Award, and is a member of ABI’s 2018 class of “40 Under 40.” He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Searcy received his B.A. in Spanish and history from Trinity University in San Antonio and his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 2005.
